Business Development Unit provides short courses, consultancies and research tasks. The Unit’s vision is to be recognized and to be highly regarded in Lesotho and in the region as a provider of courses, consultancies and research work in the fields of Leadership, Management, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Finance and Business Law and other related fields. All the work that we do is carried out with the view of adding value to small, medium and big organizations.

COURSES, CONSULTANCIES AND RESEARCH WORK OFFERED

Leadership: Leading to achieve sustainable value is fundamental in today’s uncertain environment. The courses under this area aim to improve people skills, problem solving and decision making approaches.

Management and Strategy: Strategic planning, implementation and management, risk management and principles are some of the fundamentals in ensuring long term sustainability of organization. Courses in this area ensure that organizations conduct their operations in such a manner that they achieve long term objectives.

Entrepreneurship: Planning and knowledge provide a competitive advantage in the market place. The courses in this area ensure that you know how to start up your business; expand your business and how to rescue your business from decline.

Finance: Finance is the blood of any organization, whether that organization is in the Public or Private sector; Profit making or non-profit making. It is therefore important to have at least basic finance knowledge to run or to manage any organization. Courses in this area will vary from the ones that are aimed for non-finance people and technical ones for finance people

Business Law: There are critical legal aspects that organizations have to be aware of in order to make appropriate decisions that are within the legal frames. An example of this could be how to deal with disciplinary issues and dismissals. Courses in this area will assist organizations to operate within legal parameters.

TAILOR MADE PROGRAMMES

There are certain circumstances where standard programmes and course are not adequate. Some of these circumstances require adaption of our standard material to ensure results are maximized while others require ordinary change of the curriculum.
